The Grandstream GWN7816P is a high-performance enterprise Layer 3 managed network switch designed for medium to large businesses, hospitality deployments, educational campuses, enterprise offices, surveillance systems, and data-intensive network environments that require scalable, secure, and centrally managed wired infrastructure.
Equipped with 48 Gigabit Ethernet ports and 6 high-speed 10Gb SFP+ uplink ports, the GWN7816P delivers enterprise-class switching performance with flexible fiber connectivity for backbone integration, aggregation, and high-speed uplinks. The switch supports PoE+, PoE++, and intelligent dynamic power allocation, making it ideal for powering Wi-Fi 6 access points, IP phones, PTZ cameras, video conferencing systems, and other advanced network devices directly through Ethernet cabling.
Ports 1–8 support PoE++ with up to 60W per port, while the remaining 40 ports support PoE+ with up to 30W per port. With a massive total PoE budget of up to 740W, the GWN7816P is designed for high-density deployments requiring substantial power capacity.
As a Layer 3 managed switch, the GWN7816P includes advanced routing and traffic management capabilities such as static and dynamic routing, inter-VLAN routing, QoS prioritisation, multicast optimisation, link aggregation, and enterprise-grade security protections including ARP Inspection, DHCP Snooping, IP Source Guard, ACL policies, and 802.1X authentication. The switch also supports stack management for simplified administration of multiple switches through a single interface.
The GWN7816P can be managed locally through a web GUI and CLI or centrally through Grandstream’s GDMS Networking cloud platform and GWN Manager. With enterprise-grade reliability, redundant power support, and advanced Layer 3 functionality, it provides a powerful networking foundation for growing organisations and enterprise environments.
